Dear Community Leader,
Ms. Lori Edwards spoke with your group recently and mentioned the benefits of working at the polls on Election Day. Election Workers help ensure the conduct of fair and accurate elections, and the preservation of our democratic process.
Serving at the polls also provides organizations such as yours the opportunity to earn money for your programs without the planning and backbreaking work usually required of fundraisers. Just recruit a few members to participate, and we’ll take care of the rest. Each member would be scheduled to attend a training class then report to work on Election Day. Training classes are scheduled at various times to accommodate every schedule. Just six members working on Election Day could generate an average of $1,000 for your organization – a sizeable sum for very little effort, and an invaluable contribution to our community.
New poll worker orientation events. are scheduled for Thurs., Sept. 14 at 6pm and Wed., Oct. 11 at 6pm. Interested members are welcome to attend any of the events listed, or we would be happy to schedule a private orientation just for your membership. Orientation consists of a 20-minute presentation that describes the duties of an Election Worker, followed by an opportunity to ask questions and complete an application to serve.
Thank you for your consideration of this important program. Should you have any questions, or if you would like to arrange a private orientation, please feel free to call me at 863-845-2768.
