Before the action alerts, we want to send a message of support to caucus member Carmen Torres and her husband State Senator Victor Torres who were injured in a car accident yesterday morning in Tallahassee. The accident was caused by a distracted driver. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Carmen and Vic!
NO on SB 856 - In Rules Committee TODAY at 10:30 AM.

NO on SB 1238 - Special Orders Calendar in Senate (floor vote)

On Tuesday, the Senate Rules Committee approved Senate Bill 1238, a bill that would allow utilities like Florida Power & Light to charge their customers for risky out of state fracking exploration. This bill would have failed in committee if Democratic Senators Oscar Braynon II, Perry Thurston and Lauren Book had voted no. That's shameful.

Their decision moves forward legislation which prioritizes the profits of utility companies over the well-being of Florida's seniors, ratepayers, and retailers, as well as families out of state dealing with fracking in their communities.
